Plot: Space Rangers 1
By the year 3000 humanity had mastered interstellar flight and come into contact with four other developed civilizations. Despite tensions, they found a way to exist and created the Galaxy Council. Suddenly a new race from an unknown region began capturing the Five Races' systems. A bloody war between the Five Races Commonwealth against the invaders, known as the Klissans, erupts. A war in which the Klissans are gradually winning. The Commonwealth decides to engage Rangers, citizens of the Galaxy, hoping that they will be able to reach Machpella, the mothership of the Klissans, and destroy her. Thus, our hero, along with many other volunteers, become a ranger. He begins with the resources from his pre-Ranger life and his mission to liberate the captured planets. The path to victory requires more than battle with the Kliss. He will only find victory through trade, completing assignments from different planets, struggling against pirates, receiving awards, and improving both his skills as a pilot and his ship.
Plot: Space Rangers 2
Space Rangers 2 is set in the year 3300. Sentient combat robots known as Dominators are attacking the five civilizations of the Coalition: the humans, the Maloqs, the Pelengs, the Faeyans, and the Gaalians. There are three Dominator types, each at war with each other: the Blazeroids, the Kelleroids, and the Terronoids. The player begins the game as a trainee member of the Space Rangers – a corps of pilots charged with defending the galaxy from the Dominators.
